she is based in new york, which is the focus of her artreview column, "notes from new york."
her writing has appeared in major publications, including newspapers and magazines such as the new york times, the washington post, artforum, e-flux, and the brooklyn rail, as well as in artists' books and catalogues.
she teaches writing in the visual arts department at brooklyn college cuny and has curated exhibitions for non-profits like the lower east side printshop and the nars foundation.
she holds an ma in art history and an mfa in fiction from washington university in st. louis. in 2024, she was an inaugural recipient of the momus arts journalism residency.
